HOW DOES GERMAN FOOTBALL WORK?
The structure of German football resembles a pyramid. At the top is the national team, supported by a huge base of about 7.1 million members and 24,800 clubs. They are distributed among 21 state (municipal) associations, which in turn are assigned to five regional associations.
