That’s a scary word fan
It is impossible to separate sports from fans. Each sport has enough fans. But it is good when the love for the team or for some athlete is limited to just love and experience for him, and not rampant sports fanaticism.
Recently, the news is often full of not so much the joy of winning teams or athletes, as descriptions of riots. Anyway, the weather in the sport still depends on the fans and fans. Fans, as you know, there are different categories. But the main thing in the fan sector – to be as bright as possible and different from the fans of rivals. It is enough to watch the match between the Spanish and Italian football teams to see: the fans paint their faces in the colors of the flags of their favorite countries, wear attributes, one way or another associated with these teams. They grab the head with a goal and an unrealized penalty. This behavior is a fairly quiet fan.But there is another category of fans, more uncomfortable for the police, and for the team itself – because in the end fines have to pay the team-the owner of the stadium. Often in the direction of the players, and any other athletes, flying crumpled papers, plastic bottles, firecrackers and even Molotov cocktails. Of course, to speak of the adequacy of these fans is not necessary. The fan still has to create, supporting his club, the national team of his native country, and not to cause harm. This is a destructive kind of fan, for which you need an eye and an eye. And how many cases of post-match fights with launching plastic seats at each other? Often because these would-be fans break the game or a performance athlete. And this cannot but affect the psychological state of the team and athletes.
Fanaticism is characterized by persistent adherence to some idea, passionate worship of someone or something, even the deification of someone, in this case the team or a particular athlete. Fanaticism itself is a spontaneous, mass phenomenon, which can involve any fan present at the stadium. For many men, sports fanaticism is a way to go into another reality, to abandon some personal and everyday problems. In General, sports fanaticism psychologists consider a disease that must be observed and treated. Often ardent fans are people who have something wrong in life. For them, sport is a compensation for boring life.
Fanaticism itself is not bad, if it is restrained and reasonable. In addition, the task of sport is to educate willpower and fortitude, not aggression.
